The ETCDC and volunteer DeDe Christopher assisted with initial design concepts for the Ashley Nicole Dream Playground, which was the recipient of the 2005 TN Recreation and Parks Association’s Best Facility Award for being a 100% accessible playground and the first of its kind in Knoxville.

Located in Caswell Park, across from the softball complex, the park is named in honor of Ashley Nicole Manes, who was left paralyzed from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Families can enjoy the beautiful playground, gardens, and large grassy open space.
