Meet the Board: Scott Busby, AIA – President

J. Scott Busby, AIA is a partner with Smee + Busby Architects in Knoxville, Scott is the recipient of numerous local and state awards and received the 2000 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Young Architects Award, given to only five recipients nationwide. Scott received his Bachelors of Architecture with Honors from the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society and the Dean's Student Advisory Council. Scott has served ten years a member and Chair of the Knox / Knox County Historic Zoning Commission, as the AIA East Tennessee President and as AIA TN State President.  He served the past three years as a Gulf States Regional Representative on the national AIA Strategic Council working with the Board of Directors to draft the next five year Strategic Plan to help shape the future of the Institute.
