The new two-story, 17,000 square-foot addition was completed in 2014. Belle Morris now has eight new classrooms, plus a new art room and a geo-thermal HVAC system.

The ETCDC and volunteer professional adviser, Elizabeth Eason, AIA, were asked to design a “Green” building addition that could also be used as a teaching tool to help the students and the community. The design used sustainable strategies per LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Sustainable renovations to the historical school included a 17,000-square-foot two-story addition; several new classrooms with natural day-lighting; a new art room, a music room, and a Geothermal HVAC system.
