City of Knoxville Policy Department requested assistance from the ETCDC and volunteer adviser Carrie Read, Landscape Designer with Carol R. Johnson and Associates (IBI Placemaking), to prepare a plan for a new dog park in downtown Knoxville. The PetSafe Downtown Dog Park was the second of five parks to be built with funding from PetSafe Village. The dog park is located at the corner of Summit Hill Drive and S. Central Street. The approximately one-acre park opened to the public in June 2010.
