Laurel Theater is located in the former Fort Sanders Presbyterian Church built in 1898.

In 1982, the building was in need of restoration after  a devastating fire burned the roof off of the structure.

Today, Laurel Theater is a successful music, dance, and performance venue.

The Laurel Theater is located in the former 1898 Fort Sanders Presbyterian Church. In 1982, a devastating fire burned the roof off of the building and an extensive restoration was needed for the building to remain standing. The ETCDC and volunteer adviser architect Don Horton led the design and reconstruction efforts. Today, Laurel Theater is a successful music, dance, and performance venue and home to Jubilee Community Arts, an organization dedicated to the preservation and advancement of traditional music and art forms of the Southern Appalachians.
